Subject: Veil's Requirement
Veil came to Salan and told him that it was time for him to make his
repayment. As repayment he had to stay off the prime for 10 years. She
told Salan that he would die if he stayed on the prime and pleaded for
him to go. Everything related to Veil also disappeared from the prime
material. Its unclear if she's really gone, but all of her residences
were demolishd in short order. Salan was given 24 hours to leave
the prime material. His major concern was to try to move his
tower. After many thoughtful negotations (meeting Thadius and
attempting to get him to move the tower) and an assassination attempt
on Julia, Salan decided to sell off a couple items for a wish
scroll. His wish transported his tower to the ethereal plane.
In
his wanderings, he discovered the black dragon Inky in the Acid
Pits. Their attempt on his life did not go well. However, Salan was
led to an area far frmo the Earth's surface where Inky traveled on a
meteor of some sort. Salan also found the Dragon Isles where many
elder dragons roamed.
Just after Tappa was murdered by Joseph's
self-defensive actions, a Neraph appeared out of a planar rift near
Salan's tower. The neraph was intriguing and talked about a song of
dischord. This seemed to strike a note in the futurely non-prime bound
Salan. The neraph also seemed to have been in some sort of captivity
when he released five "dire" blue dragons.
Salan tracked these
five balefiring blue dragons as they searched complexes belong to
Veil, the Tree of Life, the palaces of Cryl and many continental
areas. They used their balefire abilities almost without thought -
destroying life everywhere. They found an archway where some
dwarves were keeping guard. The gateway looked as if it had been
sealed off from the rest of the world for a very long time.

Subject: Salan is Approached
Salan began his hunt for Julia about the time she was leaving the
prime material. Julia also entered Malehevik's (a CE wizard looking to
repent) castle in Mount Celestia, and Malehevik called her a source of
his power on the prime material. After that he geased her again.
Defage, a priest of Cryl, requested a meeting with Salan, claiming to
be alongside Julia. Defage says the tables will turn soon and that
Salan should choose his friends wisely. Zee was with Salan at the time
and said that Salan should listen to him (although this was in the
midst of a battle that had begun).
There was some attempt to chat after the fact, but it did not amount
to much.
After these chats, the group began to plot ways to gain advantage over
Cryl. For a while, they began to plan an attack on the entrance to
Cryl's plane on Hades. Then they decided to try to find some dragons
to attack. Turns out, Salan could only think of two. These two were
meandering about the Daerth Desert (some many miles south of
Mardington past the Badlands. After several failed attempts, the party
began to meander.
Eventually Zee came to Salan with news of the Well of Infinite
Power. Unable to learn anything about the great dragon described in
Kron's original works, Zee found some allusions to five blue dragons
with phenomenal powers. These dragons often wielded power to change
time in some way as well. Zee described these five blue dragons to
Salan, to see if he could decipher or scry any new information about
the dragons.

Subject: New Friends for Salan?
First, Salan went to visit Z. Z was inspecting some ruins on the plane
of magic. Salan went to visit him and Z told Salan that he should
figure out who was causing this. Z also hired a Kenku Ninja,
Tappawakka, to follow Salan and make sure that he was not the reason
the node fell. If he was, Z told him to kill Salan. Also, Veil sent
Wispin to tell Salan to share information about the well of infinite
power and to find information about that node as well. J&J found a
demonic nymph, Xanaphia, who was seeking help against a druid who
reportedly killed her father. J&J handed her over to Whispin and told
her that if they followed him, he would help her (indirectly) to kill
the druid and get some revenge. Somehow, this crazy group finally all
got together and set themselves about the task of figuring out what
had happened on the plane of magic. They located "Mom" and had her
come with them to the plane to do some of her psychic business. There,
a fight broke out between the party, a human fighter with hidden
symbols of Cryl was killed, and a geased female human wizard who cast
gate and mordenkainen's disjunction and fled shortly after. Mom
claimed that a mind flayer was trying to attack them from afar, and
that she killed it. The party spoke with the fighter's corpse and were
led to believe that the wizard's name was Julia and based in Orul's
port.

Subject: Salan returns to Kron's Tower
Salan was feeling the need to replenish his deep coffers. To figure
some things out, he requested the help of a priest of Veil at
GNP. With a commune, the priest lead him to Kron's Tower. Heading to
Kron's Tower, Salan and his group (now consisting of a Scout and an
Anti-paladin), were confronted by a powerful illithid. After forcing
the creature to flee, they encountered death giants inside. On other
levels of the tower were many slain illithids. Once the tower was
cleared however, an antimagic field on the upper field kept them
cautious briefly. Forcing their way into the upper level reveled a
grand library with a pedastal and orb in the center. The antipaladin
knocked the orb and pedastal over from afar, but everyone was hit by
two prismatic sprays. This outright killed the antipaladin and sent
the scout to another plane. Both objects were then encased inside a
prismatic sphere. Salan continued to look around the place and
discovered a magical elevator which led below ground. There, older
books and tomes were kept. These look to be undisturbed for many
centuries. With that finished, Salan went about collecting all the
books and assimilating their knowledge. Through the use of spells, he
gathered the books and sold them after reading each one. This feat
took him about four years to accomplish. There were four books of
interest, all written by Kron himself. One book described a great red
wyrm who was rumoured to have access to a well of infinite
power. Another described the world as a multi-tiered place. The world
was one of many. Sometimes Kron saw things happen which didn't
actually happen. This confused him and led him to develop spells of
chronomancy. He found some things he could change and yet others he
couldn't. Another book described Kron's journal as he traveled the
world searching for others who saw the world the way he did. He could
never find one, but this book describd a lot of interesting characters
and individuals with varying powers. Some were gods, some were vampire
lords, some were beasts of ill repute, some were merely mortals with
intersting charisma. Kron's last book sounded more like a departing
message. He described that since the world was without those who saw
the world the way he did, that he needed to build a refuge away from
this place. He wanted to build a place where he could continue his
observations, unmolested, undetected and with patience. Salan kept these four books for his private collection.
