Towns and Cities

  1. Mardington - Once known as the 'City of Gold' this city has been known as the 'good' city of the realms. It is very large and protected by several powerful priests of good. It is tolerant of all races and types, but has strict laws and punishment policies. Knights of Mardington have earned a name here for incredible fighting prowess and rule.
  2. Telerin - A minor city northeast of Mardington. It holds a large temple to Ralin, but the temple doesn't follow all of the ideals of their god. They have chosen to extract the neutral aspects of war and use Ralin's power to fend off the wilderness. In these times, the temple has become less necessary (as the region is populated), but the temple managed to survive and thrive.
  3. New Donville - A minor city west of Mardington. This city is the fabled home of a great sage and powerful mage named Cloridon. Cloridon is legendary in his exploits in the region, but the name is used more to describe intellect now, rather than the man. Cloridon's tower was destroyed by a strange group many years ago and still lies in ruins here. There is a 24 hour guard watch (for the ruins and the city) but strangely, no clerical or magical power resides in the city. Legends say that those who can enter the ruins and return will be legendary themselves.
  4. Aeld Induna - This is the elven community which lives to the north of Mardington in Bridgitte's Ancient Forest. The elves in this community hate outsiders and are reluctant to let them in. They have no compunction on killing enemies on the forest upon sight. They have a host of powerful characters and creatures including some exotics like werebears. Reports in Mardington claim even green dragons may reside in the forest. Bladesingers and Archers of great power also protect the forest.
  5. Great Northern Port - This city lies hundreds of miles to the west of Mardington. It is a port city which lies along the Great Southern Ocean. Its name is a paradox who's true meaning has been lost to history. The city is known as the city of evil in the realms and it is perhaps the largest city in the realms. One of the most outstanding aspects of the city is the incredibly massive temple to the Goddess Veil (of Shadows). The Green Mask has made a name for themselves here as the Rogue's Guild. They fight for political and martial power within the city.

Groups and Societies

  1. Knights of Mardington - These knights follow a strict code and protect the queen at all costs. They are known as powerful warriors and the founder (Muide) is rumored to be alive and/or brought back from the dead in times of great need.
  2. The Green Mask - These are the rogues of the Great Northern Port. They control a large portion of the city. Their name strikes fear in the hearts of most civilians (even in Mardington).
  3. DragonSlayers of Mardale - Mardale was a dragonslayer and he founded a group in his tradition. Mardale has a huge temple in Mardington and dragonslayers can generally be found there.
  4. BladeSingers - The elves are legendary in their fighting and wizardry. Its reported that in the Ancient Forest north of Mardington, the elves have mastered using both in concert.
  5. Archers of the Aeld - Those stupid enough to offend the elves in the north, know plenty well the wrath they hold. The archers around the perimeter of the Ancient Forest hold bows of incredibly make and strength. Only fools offend the more powerful of these archers. It is reported that once an elf killed a human from a distance of 4000 feet in moonlight with one arrow.
  6. Protectors of the Plains - There are barbarians and nomads in the beastly plains of change, but they fight for their survival. Many question how they could even exist in the harsh winds. However, the protectors are there, and they are watching. So powerful are these protectors, that they are even known in Mardington. There's a reason that the Great Kingdom has not calmed these savages.
  7. DragonLords - The dragonlords are a secretive group of who hoard magic and might such that they may control and enslave dragon and dragon-kin. Known to be mostly elves due to their competing nature of immortality compared to that of the dragon. Not often seen meddling in the afairs of man or elf, this group is nevertheless feared and revered by many.
