Sutan

Sutan

  • Sutan is a small city of approximately 7000 people. With a wealthy trade in slaves, mercenaries, and a thriving Flea Marker, Sutan has become the place to find just about anything. While the Citadel of the Moon is the military and Kingdom center, Sutan is the economical and geographical center of the region in many ways. The true economic power in the region does lie in Sutan due to its ability to service almost any request, its location and due to its larger population.
  • The city is formally ruled by Lord Calimore, who spends a large amount of time in Citadel of the Moon. In reality, the minotaur named Gart controls a large portion of the economic sway of the city. As the owner of the Fighting Arena, and thereby some portion of the slave trade, Gart has almost unlimited access to a variety of resources. The third power center of the city lies in the rogue's guild called Dagger Deign. Its leader, Deign, is a crafty individual capable of producing any number of new entries into the slave trade. Of course, Deign does not hesitate to operate using the normal methods of his business (including racketeering, thievery, and the like).
  • The major religion of Sutan is to the god of rage named Gauge. Gauge's particular influence during arena engagements is, at times, startling. While this religion does not take part in the power stuggle of the city as a unit, its priests can be found inside most organizations in the city. Thus, if the church were so inclined, it could certainly affect the politics of Sutan. Keeper and High-priest Krak of Gauge is sometimes seen participating in arena games himself.

Some notable names in Sutan include (in order of relative political power):

  • Gart the minotaur owner of the Arena
