Ramsey's Book Reviews
This page contains my summaries, reviews and WILL contain spoilers.
I won't post on every book I read, but I'll try to include many. If
you're more interested in things I'm writing, well I'm currently writing
a shared story of fantasy in a yahoo group of my own construction. I
also dabble with a couple of novels and short stories set in the Mystic
Realms used in my RPG.

Subject: The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown
I thought that the beginning of the book was fast paced and full of
interesting intrigue. It slowed down for me a bit in the middle and I
find that the ending truly lacked the punch I suspected it might
have. All told, this book inspires me to do some research on the
history of many things religious and otherwise. It inspires me to
think more deeply about faith and my ideas of religion. I typically
don't need much inspiration on those topics, so perhaps it was a good
book for me to read. Anyway, that's all for me for now.

This book was good. I'm surprised by the deaths. Baralis doesn't make
his official entrance yet, but Crope does somehow manage to free
him. Its amazing how much you find yourself rooting for Crope all the
time. It appears as if the Spire Vanis dude bites it. It also amazes
me how much the little ones seem like they'll have a great impact on
the final story. Bram, Raif, and Effie are the ones I root for these
days. The end of this book (other than the end of the great Sull
warriors Ark and Mal) was kinda anti-climatic. Raif wanders into the
Blight to kill some awesome demon. He is a cool character but it
was.... strange. Perhaps it will make sense with book three.
