The first final is about to begin. Actually I'm still in my office, so it is not going to begin for another 30 minutes. Its still pretty crazy how fast these things creep up on us. By December 21st, this will all be over. Everyone will have their grades and that will conclude the teaching portion of this semester. Exciting? Perhaps. In any case, if I get the urge I'll write some more during the exam. I don't think its going to take the two hours that I told them that it should take. They'll be happy about that I s'pose. I think my parents are going to be around soon. I have no idea 'when' they are planning on coming, I just know that they are planning on coming. I think this weekend? I have no idea. The holidays are always so crazy. I went to a family gathering at my aunt's yesterday. I saw some people that I haven't seen in five years or so. Maybe that is a typical thing for family get togethers. Pretty crazy how family works sometimes. Anyway, that's it for now. Maybe more later.

Okay, well I've included a number next to the post. I may start doing backups according to the number of posts instead of based simply on date. Especially since, if I back up weekly, I tend to have only one entry per week! Not a very wise idea I don't think. Anyway, here we go with post numbers.

Wow, no more lectures for this semester. The students start and end their finals next week. My first full semester is about one week from ending. Maybe a little more than a week, but, you get the gist. Anyway, I think the time went by faster than I had anticipated. Perhaps it always does that, I'm not sure. As good news, I just got a copy of my JGT paper. This is great news. It should help my tenure case to have such a journal paper in my cv. Well, that's all from me for now. I may change my scripts so that they update in a different way. So, hopefully I don't loose any of my messages!

Closing was today, so I suppose the house is now done. Otherwise, classes are winding down. The last Tuesday lecture of the semester was today, so the semester is winding down. Actually, I don't really have a lot to talk about. I'm enjoying my birthday presents still and ready to get Christmas done.
