First Writing Assignment


The prompt:

What moral considerations should we (computer scientists) have while
working on AI to pass the "Complete" Turing Test?


Rough drafts are due in two weeks and must be three-four pages (double
spaced 12 pt font) long. You must use one outside source as a
reference (not wikipedia - although you may use wikipedia for
ideas). Unless the source is a classical philosopher (as we talked
about in the philosophy class), you should likely get it approved by
me.

The general broad categories for grading that I use for writing is:
1) Use of organization to communicate ideas effectively.
2) Development of position, ideas and argument.
3) Use of references/ Supporting Ideas
4) Use of grammar and spelling to communicate ideas effectively.
